7 Avenue S.W. Station is in the heart of downtown. It will connect to community, culture and entertainment, educational facilities and employment hubs.
The station connects to amenities including:
- Stephen Avenue Mall
- Devonian Gardens
- TELUS Convention Centre
- Glenbow Museum
- Arts Commons
- Transit connections to existing Red and Blue Lines, and Max Yellow and Purple Bus Rapid Transit (BRTs)
The Green Line is an important component of Calgary’s Greater Downtown Plan as it will expand and enhance transit service downtown.

Eau Claire Market and River Run Condos demolitions
Site set-up, hazardous material abatement and demolition will be completed at Eau Claire Market by June 2025.
Beltline Downtown Utility Relocation Project (Third-party Shallow Utilities)
The Beltline Downtown Utility Relocation Project will relocate underground, street-level and overhead utilities.
78 Avenue Project
A pedestrian tunnel will be constructed near 72 Avenue S.E., a vehicle tunnel will be built at 78 Avenue S.E., and a portion of 78 Avenue S.E. will be upgraded.
North Central Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) improvements
While planning continues to bring future Green Line LRT service to the north, immediate improvements to the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor on Centre Street are underway.
Public spaces
Where the station entrances are located on 2nd Street, this will become another pedestrian-orientated street in the downtown core.
