About the station
4 Street S.E. Station is in the heart of the Rivers District and will serve the Stampede Grounds. It is on key bicycle and pedestrian networks along the Bow and Elbow rivers.
The station connects to amenities including:
- BMO Centre
- Sam Centre
- 17th Avenue extension
- Calgary Event Centre
- Calgary Stampede Grounds
- East Village
The station is a key part of the Rivers District Masterplan and will help stimulate significant redevelopment for the East Victoria Park area.

Current construction
Eau Claire Market and River Run Condos demolitions
Site set-up, hazardous material abatement and demolition will be completed at Eau Claire Market by June 2025.
Beltline Downtown Utility Relocation Project (Third-party Shallow Utilities)
The Beltline Downtown Utility Relocation Project will relocate underground, street-level and overhead utilities.
78 Avenue Project
A pedestrian tunnel will be constructed near 72 Avenue S.E., a vehicle tunnel will be built at 78 Avenue S.E., and a portion of 78 Avenue S.E. will be upgraded.
North Central Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) improvements
While planning continues to bring future Green Line LRT service to the north, immediate improvements to the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor on Centre Street are underway.
