Bylaw requirements
All multi-family complexes are required to recycle and compost their waste as per Waste Bylaw 4M2020.

Educating residents on an annual basis is a requirement of the Waste Bylaw. Education tips have been compiled to help you share through your building’s newsletter or by a letter and private Facebook groups.
Tip for your residents
Making sure your residents understand how to use your program is key to its success and will help prevent contamination issues. If applicable to your property, you can share the tip below with your residents using your building newsletter, a hand delivered letter or use the information to make your own seasonal signage.
