A big thank you to the hundreds of volunteers who share their time, skills, and enthusiasm with one of the many services or programs we offer. From keeping our parks clean to assisting neighbours with snow removal, volunteers contribute to making our city a great place to live.

Off-Leash Ambassador program

A volunteer-led approach to educate citizens about responsible pet ownership and to ensure safety in off-leash areas.
Community Social Work

We offer community-focused volunteer opportunities in neighbourhoods with a Community Social Worker. Volunteers can develop leadership skills and capacity through community involvement and engagement.
Fire Cadet Program

We're offering youth the opportunity to use CFD training and equipment as the tools and backdrop to learn valuable life skills.
Parks

Become a green leader in your community. Share your knowledge and appreciation of the natural world through our diverse volunteer opportunities.
Recreation & Social Programs

We offer a number of on-going and Seasonal volunteer opportunities for all ages.
Calgary Police Service

We're actively seeking volunteers to help with a variety of programs. Opportunities are available with the community police stations, district offices, Victim Assistance Support Team, and YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre.
Tour Guide Program

Have an interest in city government, history or local developments and a passion for community education and engagement? The City Clerk’s Office is looking for volunteer tour guides for Municipal Complex Tours. Position training, parking during tours and more provided.
Golf Ambassador

Golf Ambassadors are friendly, people-oriented individuals who welcome guests, answer questions, and monitor the course to ensure pace of play.
Festivals and Events

Support events such as Canada Day and New Year’s Eve. Volunteer opportunities change seasonally. Check back frequently to find the right fit for you.
Boards, commissions, and committees
