Police information checks for volunteers

If you are a volunteer, you may require a Police information check or security clearance before you being your volunteer position.

Please check with your volunteer organization for specific handling policies or arrangements with the Calgary Police Service.

Cost

If your agency is registered with the Calgary Police Service, your Police information check can be processed for a cost of $15. Contact your organization for more information.

$0.00 if required for a volunteer position and the organization is on a VSPN previously registered with Calgary Police Service under the old VPIC program (individual must have a letter from the organization with the agency information on it).  Contact your organization for more information.

Obtaining a Police information check

Please review our step-by-step instructions. If your volunteer organization has a Volunteer Screening Program Number (VSPN) issued by Volunteer Alberta, please have that number provided referenced on the volunteer letter issued from the organization. Please bring this with you when you apply for a Police information check.
