Request for Proposal: Looking to partner with a Treaty 7 Indigenous Artist
Team Ward 9 is seeking proposals from Indigenous artists with a connection to Treaty 7 land interested in partnering to design and create an illustrated map about water. This map will highlight water resources, infrastructure, and landmarks, while sharing stories and raising awareness about water conservation, management, history, and the importance of water in Ward 9 and through Calgary.

The Bow River Basin is the hardest working watershed in Alberta with almost 40% of the population, the majority of river water irrigated agricultural lands, and only 4% of the fresh water.
On April 3, 2019, Council’s Standing Policy Committee for Planning and Urban Development convened for its monthly meeting and as its second order of business unanimously recommended that Council approve a path forward for legalizing suites.
The City’s primary revenue comes from taxes. They are collected from non-residential and residential tax rolls.
