How to dispose of stand up pouches
Put stand up pouches in your black cart as garbage.
Examples of items that use stand up pouches include:
- Frozen fruit and frozen vegetables
- Cereal
- Beef jerky
- Coffee
- Trail mix
- Dried fruit
- Shredded cheese
- Dishwasher and laundry detergent tabs
- Dog food
Why can't this be recycled?
These pouches are made of multiple layers of materials (usually a mix of plastic/paper/metal) which are not easily separated for recycling.
