How to dispose of plastic cutlery
Put plastic cutlery in the black cart as garbage.
This includes:
- Forks, spoons and knives
- Straws
- Stir sticks
- Chopsticks
Why can't this be recycled?
Plastic cutlery is too small to be sorted properly at the recycling facility. They end up mixed in with the other materials and contaminating the recyclables.
