How to recycle glass mason jars and metal canning lids
Recycle empty and clean glass mason and canning jars:
- In your blue cart
- At a community recycling depot
Special instructions
- Remove metal lids (including lids with a rubber seal) and recycle as a separate item in your blue cart.
- Put decorative mason jars that aren't intended for food storage in your black cart as garbage (paint, glue and other decorative materials cannot be recycled).
