How to recycle small bathroom appliances
Take old and broken small bathroom appliances to an electronics recycling drop-off.
This is for personal care appliances that have a power cord or runs on a battery/charger. This includes:
- Electric razors
- Electric toothbrush
- Curling irons, crimpers, hot rollers and curler sets
- Flat iron and hair straighteners
- Hair dryer
- Beard trimmers
- Electric hair clippers and trimmers
- Oral irrigators (e.g. WaterPik)
- Vanity mirror with lighting
- Electric massagers
- Automatic soap dispensers
Special instructions
- If you take electronics to a landfill and bring other garbage in your load, landfill charges will apply.
- Some restrictions apply. For full details, see Electronics Recycling program.
- Do NOT put electronics in your blue cart as these items can damage the equipment at the recycling facility.
