How to compost butter and lard
Put all types of butter and lard into your green cart for composting.
This includes:
- Salted, unsalted and flavoured butters
- Lard and shortening
- Margarine
Special instructions
- Solidify the butter and lard to make it easier to put in your kitchen pail.
- Use newspaper or used paper towels to soak up any melted butter and oils.
