Calgary Food Bank

Please call to request your emergency food hamper or book online: https://www.calgaryfoodbank.com/needfoodform/ . You must book your hamper ahead of time because distribution is by appointment only.

Unison at Kerby Centre

Unison Community Food Pantry

Community food pantry for older adults. Primarily non-perishable items. Take what you can. Available Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Wednesday Food Deliveries and Wellness Checks

Food delivered every week in alternating rotations by volunteers. Each client is given a variety of food. Eligibility: 55+, low-income, no other supports available and homebound.

Unison Free Food Markets

Bread and baked goods are available for older adults to pick up. There are often other food items available for pickup (frozen, sandwiches, produce and dairy products). Available for older adults, no registration or proof of income required. Tuesdays and Fridays 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Muslim Family Network Society - Halal Food Bank

Provides Halal food hampers to individuals and families in need. Calgarians can access the Halal Food Bank 4-6 times a year depending on the circumstances. Proof of financial circumstances is required.

Community Kitchen Program of Calgary: The Good Food Box

The Good Food Box Program, (GFB) is a program under the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary, whereby anyone can purchase boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables at an affordable price.

  • Small Box: $25 (15-20lbs* of fruits and vegetables)
  • Medium Box: $30 (25-30lbs* of fruits and vegetables)
  • Large Box: $35 (35-40lbs* of fruits and vegetables)

Each Good Food Box contains a combination of fruits and vegetable. The content varies weekly due to seasonal availability. The boxes contain the maximum produce to ensure our clients are getting the most value for the price. *Please note weights are approximate.

Nutritious and affordable meals delivered to anyone in Calgary, regardless of age or income. When you have a lot on your plate, let us do the cooking. Two options to choose from:

  • Our Chef's Daily Special - Offers Lunch & Supper with accommodation for special diets and texture modifications. Price based on income. Available 3-7 days/week.
  • My Choice Menu - Frozen meals, family-size entrees, soups, and baked good at set prices. Offers flexibility, choice, and convenience with online ordering. Place an order to stock the freezer!

Unison at Kerby Centre Grocery Delivery and Supportive Visits

Grocery shopping, delivery and supportive visits for individuals 55+, living on low income and homebound. In some cases, emergency and/or short-term participation is available for individuals returning home from the hospital or recovering from illness or surgery.

  • Bi-weekly deliveries available
  • Cost includes a $4 delivery fee in addition to the cost of groceries
