There will be a number of road closures to accommodate events all over the city during the Calgary Stampede (July 7 to July 16, 2023). Here are some alternative ways to get you around:

Transit

24 hour CTrain service during Stampede! Whether waking up at the crack of dawn to get some pancakes, or going home after line dancing all night long, we’ve got you covered!

‘Round the clock service begins the evening of July 6, and ends the morning of July 17.

Stampede taxi and Uber/Lyft zones

Taxi (24 hours)

  • 14 Avenue S.E. east of 5 Street S.E.
  • South side of Stampede Park, north of 25 Avenue S.E.

Taxi (8 p.m. to 5 a.m.)

  • 12 Avenue S.W. between 1 Street S.E. and 3 Street S.E.

Ride Share - Uber/Lyft (24 hours)

  • 14 Avenue S.W. between Stampede Trail S.W. and 5 Street S.W.
  • South side of Stampede Park, north of 25 Avenue S.E.

Ride Share - Uber/Lyft (8 p.m. to 5 a.m.)

  • 10 Avenue S.E. between 1 Street S.E. and Olympic Way S.E.
  • 1 Street S.E. between 10 Avenue S.E. and 12 Avenue S.E.

Parking

There are many Calgary Parking parking options close to the Stampede grounds, including the new Platform Parkade at 399 - 9 Avenue S.E. Located only blocks away, it will remain open until 11 p.m. for vehicles and until midnight for those who wish to watch the fireworks from the rooftop.

Summer promo rates including $10 and $15 parking are also available at select facilities across Calgary. Download the MyParking app to receive these parking discounts. At no extra charge, complementary extended parking is also available at facilities on Saturday and Sunday mornings until 10 a.m. 

Road closures

Ramsay Traffic Controls – June 30 to July 17

From June 30 to July 17, the following intersections to close access into west Ramsay:

  • Maggie Street and MacDonald Avenue S.E.
  • 11 Avenue and 8 Street S.E.
  • 17 Avenue and 8 Street S.E.
  • Margaret Avenue and Spiller Road S.E.
  • Constance Avenue and Spiller Road S.E.
  • 6 Street and Spiller Road S.E.

Residents who live west of the closed intersections will have vehicle access to their homes at two access points:

  • Bellevue Avenue and MacDonald Avenue S.E.
  • Burns Avenue and Spiller Road S.E
