Tennis courts

The City owns and operates approximately 66 outdoor tennis courts throughout Calgary.

We have recently adapted 52 locations around the city for the many Calgarians who love to play pickleball. These locations are multi-use with both tennis and pickleball capabilities. No tennis courts were lost, but they do allow for the option of pickleball if desired.

Seasonal openings and closures of the various tennis courts are subject to change without notice to avoid shoulder season hazards including snow, snowmelt, and ice.  Our priority is the safety of our community and every effort is made to predict our capacity to maximize the extent the playable season. The seasonal timing of the decision to open or close the courts made to prevent avoidable accidents and damages from occurring.

Most City-owned courts are fenced, these are locked during the off-season.
