With unprecedented investments from Canada, the Province and the City and given the significance of the Green Line Stage 1 Project to the City, Council approved the creation of the Green Line Board to improve decision making, accommodate the speed at which the Program is moving, and bring in dedicated experts to provide guidance to the Program team on delivering megaprojects.
The Board’s members include independent qualified professionals with governance and program delivery expertise. The Board is established as a committee of Council pursuant to the Green Line Board Bylaw and its purpose is to govern, oversee and ensure the successful Delivery of the Program.
The Green Line team reports to the CEO, who reports to the Board. The board reports quarterly to the Priorities and Finance Committee of Calgary’s City Council.
