Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I and II) terms of reference

On June 28, 2005, The City of Calgary approved a new corporate standard for Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. Environmental & Safety Management will administer the standard, derived from the CSA Z768-01/CSA Z769-00. The standard provides clarification to facilitate consistency and ease of review.

Corporate standards for assessments

All Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments submitted to The City that have been commissioned on or after November 1, 2005 must conform to the following:

• Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Terms of Reference
• Phase II Environmental Site Assessment Terms of Reference

Any Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments that do not conform will require additional work to meet the standard.

This standard applies to environmental consultants used by The City and to reports submitted to The City as part of the development application process.
