The Calgary Police Service (CPS) is committed to crime prevention in our city.
The CPS Crime Prevention Team (CPT) is an integral part of our commitment and plays a key role in providing information to the public, empowering them to take pro-active steps to prevent crime.
The CPT specifically focuses on the following areas:
- Home and personal safety
- Business and commercial safety
- Fraud and cyber safety
- Social disorder and community issues
The CPT researches, develops and delivers crime prevention programs in support of evidence-based policing on these and other topics:
- Fraud
- Property Crime
- Theft
- Robbery
- Online Safety
- Drug Education
- Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
